AN EVENING WITH JUDGE SAM MEDINA
West Texas C.R.E.O. and it's Partners in Education presented An Evening with Judge Sam Medina. Partners in education included House of Faith, TLC Academy and A.M.A.S. (Association of Mexican American Students.) C.RE.O. sponsored this banquet on April 21, 2009 at the Le Grand Center. The banquet was to educate the public of the services that are available to disadvantaged students living in and around the Concho Valley.
Our guest speaker was Judge Sam Medina - State District Judge from the 271st State Judicial District Court in Lubbock, Texas. Judge Medina founded a similiar and very successful organization in the Lubbock area. His organization has been instrumental in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for education.

LUNCHEON WITH FORMER U.S. ATTORNEY GENERAL ALBERTO GONZALES
CREO along with Angelo State University students A.M.A.S. (Association of Mexican American Students) sponsored a luncheon in honor of former United States Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Gonzales was the guest speaker for the luncheon. His message was on education. He came from humble beginnings and was the only one in his family to graduate from college. He attended Rice University and then Harvard Law School. His main message was to motivate students to continue with their education, whatever they want to be can be done with dedication and hard work. He is an example of this.

Former Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez with San Angelo City Councilman Johnny Silvas.
